Essentially a monstrous greatest-hits disc recorded live, Alive 2007 is a testament to Daft Punk's considerable powers--it's as overblown, ridiculous and deafening as it is seductive, brilliant and exhilarating. In other words, a really good time that's equally smart and stupid--like all really good times. Between these gents, LCD Soundsystem and Justice, 2007 was certainly a year when dance music rekindled its potency.
